Local SEO Services That Turn Nearby Searches Into Customers

Local SEO is the work of getting your business found by people searching nearby, in the map pack and in local organic results. It covers your Google Business Profile, location pages, citations and reviews. The outcome we optimise for is not rankings on their own, but calls, direction requests and visits.

What's Included

What Does Local SEO Include?

Local visibility is decided by three things Google weighs together: relevance, distance and prominence. We work on all of the ones you can control.

01

Google Business Profile Optimisation

Categories, services, attributes, hours, service areas and photos configured properly, then kept current. Your profile is often the first and only thing a local searcher sees, so it is treated as a primary asset, not an afterthought.

02

Location Page Architecture

A dedicated, genuinely useful page per location with unique content, embedded maps, local schema and internal links. No duplicated templates with the city name swapped. Google discounts those, and users notice.

03

Citation Building & Cleanup

Consistent name, address and phone details across the directories that matter in your market. We find and correct conflicting listings first, because inconsistent data actively suppresses local rankings.

04

Review Strategy

A repeatable system for requesting, monitoring and responding to reviews. Volume, recency and response rate all correlate with local visibility, and reviews are the single biggest conversion lever in local search.

05

Local Keyword & Competitor Research

We map the terms people in your area actually use, then benchmark the businesses currently outranking you: what they publish, who links to them, and where the gap is closable within a quarter.

06

Local Link & Mention Building

Relevance beats volume locally. We pursue regional press, industry associations, community sponsorships and supplier listings, the links that signal you are a real, established business in that place.

Common Questions

How Does Local SEO Work in Practice?

Local ranking follows a different set of rules from the rest of search, and a few of them are not negotiable.

How does Google decide local rankings?

Three things weighed together: relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot change where a searcher happens to be standing, so the work concentrates on the other two. That means a complete and accurate Google Business Profile, consistent citations, a steady flow of genuine reviews, and location pages that say something specific. Location pages that repeat one paragraph with the town name swapped are not content, which is why local work overlaps with content marketing more than people expect.

Do you need a physical address to rank locally?

You need a verifiable service area at minimum. Businesses that travel to customers can hide the street address and still rank across a defined area. A purely virtual business with no in-person service cannot hold a map pack listing legitimately, and we will tell you that before taking the work rather than after.

What if you have more than one location?

Each location needs its own profile, its own page and its own review flow, without duplicating the same text across all of them. Past roughly ten locations this becomes an on-page SEO and technical SEO problem as much as a local one, because templating at scale is what breaks first.

FAQ

Local SEO Questions

Google Business Profile changes can move rankings within two to six weeks. Broader local visibility from location pages, citations and local links typically takes three to six months to compound. Dense urban markets take longer than smaller service areas.

Yes. Multi-location work is where local SEO gets structurally difficult, because of duplicate content across location pages, inconsistent citations and cannibalisation between nearby branches. We build a location template system and governance rules so consistency holds as you add sites.

Service-area businesses can rank in local results without displaying an address, provided the Google Business Profile is configured as a service-area business and the service areas are set accurately. Results are generally harder to win than for businesses with a verified storefront in the searcher's city.

They influence both ranking and whether anyone clicks. Google weighs review count, average rating, recency and, to some degree, the words used in the reviews themselves. The practical effect is largest between zero and about thirty reviews. Buying them is straightforward to detect and risks the listing entirely, so we build a process for earning them instead.
